“It is highly recommended that they have their systems checked regularly for signs of electrical stress or mechanical breakdown for those who already have such workarounds installed.
“Additional preventive measures and fail-safe components should be considered, while increasing the initial installation cost.”
He recommended using thicker diameter cables, to allow for less resistance and help prevent heat buildup.
“The maximum ratings of components, including inverters, batteries, solar panels and all interconnecting components, must be carefully considered. All components within a system must be measured and calculated as part of an overall solution and the maximum ratings of any other component within the solution must not be exceeded.”
