Former Maritzburg United goalkeeper Jethren Barr, who was most recently with Northern Irish side Portadown, is open to a return to DStv Premier.
Barr, who currently plays for Bafana Bafana in the Kosva Cup tournament in Durban, recently parted ways with Portadown after being relegated from the Football League First Division.
The SA goalkeeper was offered a three-year deal in June last year by the League of Ireland side at the time, but chose to cut short his stay at the club in order to look for better opportunities.
He said he was keen to return to SA, provided he received a suitable offer.
“Me and my agent [Siyavuma Sports Group MD Paul Mitchell] I’ll look into if it’s a suitable offer for me, of course I’ll be back. “I love SA and I’m comfortable playing here,” Parr told the media.
“I know the league, I’ve been around for a while, so I’ll definitely consider it, but it’s not a big deal. If something doesn’t work for me, I’m fine going back to that side.”
