Police fired a Chase An armed gang killed three people, including a taxi driver, in Limpopo at the weekend.
According to police, three men were at a local restaurant in Moody’s when unidentified suspects arrived in a white Audi on Saturday night.
Police spokesman Colonel Malisila Ledawaba said they opened fire on the three men before fleeing the scene.
He said, “The victims are a 54-year-old taxi owner and two other men aged 33 and 37. They were all declared dead at the scene by the medical staff.”
He said their identities would be revealed in due course.
The motive for the killing is unknown however Taxi violence It is not excluded.
“The police have opened three murder cases and they are being investigated by the county taxi violence investigation unit,” Ledawaba said.
Limpopo Provincial Police Commissioner Lt. Gen. Thembi Hadbe condemned the attack and assigned a team to track down the suspects.
