A father and his boys Children died In a hut fire in Chuan on Wednesday.
The fire broke out around 1.35am at a transit camp in Mamelodi Extension 18.
Charles Mabasu, a Tshwane spokesperson, said: “Emergency services responded to an incident in which several informal dwellings were reported to be on fire. Firefighter They arrive at the scene to find an unofficial residence of about three rooms burnt out.
Members of the public reported that three people were believed to have been in the residence when the fire was discovered. The bodies of a man of uncertain age, a boy of about nine years old, and a five-year-old girl were found burned beyond recognition after the fire was extinguished.”
Mabasu confirmed that they were family members.
He appealed to residents to ensure that candles were placed in secure candle holders, electrical plugs were not overloaded, and coal fires were not left unattended overnight.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
