The Tshwane Emergency Services Department is investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed the home of one of its officials.
Police spokesman Charles Mabasu said the department received a call at around 5.26pm on Monday about a house fire in Dornpoort, north of Pretoria.
The deputy chief in charge of the training academy of the Tshwane Emergency Services Department reported that his house was in operation fire.
“Many firefighting resources were immediately dispatched to the scene and arrived at the scene to find the house completely engulfed in flames. Most of the roof had already collapsed.”
