The chief executive of Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA) Busisiwe Mavuso has warned that if South Africa does not get to the bottom of its perceived bias towards Russia, the consequences will be far more severe than most expect.

The business community is aware of what the international community is saying about the country, Mavuso said at the PSG Think Big Series on Tuesday, with many CEOs participating in face-to-face meetings where public sector participants are absent.

“We sit down with investors…we sit down with fund managers. We do investment roadshows. So, we have an obligation to deliver [the government] Understand what the international community is actually saying. “Where we are sitting at the moment, there are serious concerns from the international community,” she said.
