The museum and department will hand over a library at Zingisa Comprehensive High School as part of “Making a Difference” in the community.

A public lecture will be held on July 17, which will be attended by Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa.

The government called on citizens to contribute to turning the tide against food insecurity and climate change in honor of Madiba’s legacy.

“There is no doubt that South Africa is already experiencing the effects of climate change. The devastating floods in April 2022 and more recently have exacerbated our food insecurity challenges because many farmers have been unable to produce,” said Acting Government Spokesperson Nomonde Mnukwa.

“Due to food shortages, the floods have not only increased prices; they have also left many in abject poverty and homeless. Thus, in the true spirit of Madiba, as we celebrate Mandela Month and Mandela Day, we urge you to look around your area, identify those who may need your help and do something to improve their lives.” .
