Police officers arrested two men for drug possession in Delft, on the outskirts of Cape Town, on Friday.
He said they were deployed to the area to quell ongoing gang violence and carried out stop and search operations during which they searched a house in The Hague, seized a shipment of methamphetamine and arrested a 44-year-old man. Warrant Officer Joseph Swartboy.
Meanwhile, the members deployed to the area on heavy patrols and searched a house in Deep Crescent, Leiden, where they seized Mandrax, methamphetamine and cash, and arrested a 63-year-old man.
“The suspects are expected to appear in Belleville Magistrates’ Court as soon as they are charged,” Swartboy said.
