Having tended to dismiss managers at random for the better part of their existence, Chippa United has once again plunged into yet another controversy by publicly advertising a slot for a left-back, and inviting the right players to email their profiles.
This phenomenon is rather strange, as teams around the world usually use their scouting networks to sign players. This also casts doubt on the competence or incompetence of the Chiba Scouting Department.
“Chippa United is pleased to announce that we are looking for an exceptional left-back to join our esteemed squad. In addition, if the player is a foreigner, he must have a minimum of 10 caps for his country,” Chippa’s bizarre statement read on Wednesday, Which was posted on his official Twitter account.
“The defender must be 1.8 meters in height, between 19-28 years old, and must have a background in First Division football.”
