In a separate case, Mluli Ndlovu, 31, was sentenced to life in prison by Verulam Regional Court for the rape of a relative.
On the night of 23 July 2022, Ndlovu took the victim to Ndwengo District, where he raped her. He also drove to Mahalabthini, where he continued to rape her. In both cases he raped the victim inside his car,” Nchiyonda said.
Another rapist, Mhlengi Mazipuku, 34, was sentenced by the Madini Regional Court to life in prison for rape.
“On the evening of September 12, 2020, Mazibuku lured the victim to his bedroom in Section D of Maddini where he raped her,” Nchiyonda said.
“The matter was reported to the police, and a thorough investigation by IND investigators established the case of rape beyond reasonable doubt, and Mazipuku was sentenced to final imprisonment on July 7 this year.”
