Residents of the Western Cape are bracing for cooler temperatures ahead of Friday’s cold weather.
The South African Meteorological Service said the cold front would precede heavy rain on Saturday, and would also include the Eastern Cape and Western Free State.
The service said heavy rains could cause localized flooding on the Cape’s southern coast, affecting areas such as Riversdale.
Rainfall can also affect Calvinia as well as surrounding areas in the Northern Cape.
