As the master of ceremonies during the royal Akothee wedding, which took place on Monday at the Windsor Hotel in Nairobi, celebrity MC Dr Ofweneke has been in the headlines lately.
The talented comedian exclusively told the Nairobi News that Akuti has met his price tag and has already been paid.
“My money is already in the bank as we speak. I have been well paid and have kept their pledge. Although he refused to disclose the exact amount he paid, Ofweneke hinted that it was in excess of 1.4 million Malaysian shillings, making him the highest paid MC in Kenya.
“It was more than I asked for, and so now, I can officially state that I am currently the highest paid MC in Kenya,” he proudly states.
He also hinted that he might be on his way to MC Akothee’s second wedding in Europe.
When asked why he was chosen as the supervisor of Akothee, Ofweneke said it was because he works with people who berate him and criticize him with love. I am also ready to serve them on an equal footing. If they call me to their events, I don’t hold them accountable,” he said.
