The people of Kitengela were shocked after an incident in which a woman stabbed her two-year-old to death, dismembered his body and fed him from the remains.
Glory Njere’s mother, Olivia Nasirne, 24, a fourth-year commerce student at a nearby institution, has been accused of killing the child after she was separated from the child’s father.
In a shocking incident that angered the locals, a mother allegedly cut her infant into pieces before eating the intestines and kidneys.
A young mother was found brutally assaulting her daughter while she was singing nursery rhymes when neighbors who heard the child’s screams ran into the house, thinking there was a burglary.
The horrific incident was caught on camera by neighbors who unsuccessfully tried to break down the door.
The child was already dead and the young mother was unconscious when the neighbors broke down the door and entered the house.
The young mother’s parents, who reside in the same house, were reportedly not home at the time of the accident, according to neighbors.
Police stated that after questioning the woman, who was taken to a nearby hospital, and finding out the cause of the murder, she will be charged.
David Chaney, outgoing OCS Kitengela confirmed the incident, and stated that police are investigating whether the killing was premeditated.
“The remaining parts of her baby are in the sub-mortuary of Kitengela Hospital. The case is being handled by the Directorate General of Children’s Defense,” Shani said.
