Kathryn Kamau, known for her stage name Kate Actress, and her husband Philip Karanja have not commented on their marital status after rumors fueled that he deleted his posts from her Instagram profile.

The celebrity couple has rejected attempts by Milele FM radio host Ankali Ray to talk to them about their reported breakup in order to find out more about their extramarital activities.

Dude, let’s talk another time, Phil said before hanging up on Ankali.

Kate replies, “I thought you were calling me about work. If you were calling about family, that’s different. Don’t wake me up to ask what you read on the internet.”

After removing photos of her husband from her Instagram account, which is often seen as a sign of marital discord, Kate raised suspicions.

Although she still uses her married name, Catherine Kamau Karanja, it is possible that the award-winning actress has chosen to focus her social media presence on her job rather than her personal life.

Phil has not removed any photos of the couple from his account.

Another theory suggests that Kate’s actions could be a publicity stunt, as influence chasing has become a popular tactic for Kenyan celebrities preparing to launch projects or announce collaborations. Celebrities often alter their online presence to draw attention to their careers and other projects.

Phil has been actively interacting with Kate’s recent Instagram posts, and she has reciprocated by replying to his comments. In one instance, Kate posted a photo with Queen Gathoni and Amina Abdi from an event in Nairobi, expressing her excitement about the experience. She wrote, “Still reeling over Her Majesty Queen Charlotte’s Nairobi Brunch.” Our bags are ready to meet her. Guess the city you called us to? Phil responded to the post, commenting, “Long live the kings.”

Kate comically replies, “Send me the dollars, please,” to which Phil humorously states that even the government doesn’t have dollars. Phil commented on one of Kate’s posts using a fire emoji in another interaction. Kate, who is a mother of two, replied, “Send the whiskey today; things are boiling please.” These exchanges indicate that the couple is maintaining an amicable relationship on social media despite the rumors surrounding their marriage.
