International Certificate Programme in Dual Diagnosis

This scholarship will be made to four (4) entering full-time graduate students and five (5) continuing full-time graduate students at Brock University who have achieve high academic standing. Of the entering awards, two (2) will be available to student studying within the Center for Applied Disabilities Studies (CADS) and two (2) will be available to students in Child and Youth Studies (CHYS).

For the continuing awards, three (3) will be available to students studying within CADS and two (2) will be available to students in CHYS. If one of the departments does not have two students who meet the criteria in a given year, then the alternate department will be able to use the residual award(s) of the same nature (entering/continuing) in that given year.

Awards will be given to students who are pursuing an applied disability project or thesis work pertaining to persons with intellectual disability who have concurrent challenges with mental health, behaviour, criminal justice, or issues related to the promotion of human rights.

Applicants will be required to provide a two page outline (approx. 600 words) explaining a plan for their project and/or thesis focused in the areas listed above.
