The idea that only women wear makeup has been debunked by media personality Larry Madow.

CNN’s international correspondent even shared a photo of himself with minimal makeup prior to the live coverage to further support his argument.

Madowo is seen in the photo applying cosmetics with a brush while getting ready for the cameras.

“I’m getting ready to broadcast live on CNN from Casablanca. Forget about toxic masculinity, even men wear makeup on TV.”

While most men can relate to Madowo’s feelings and even agree with her, makeup is no stranger to male television journalists

This is because even the smallest amount of facial sweat looks blurry when the camera is in focus. To clearly show their faces on television, journalists often use talcum powder and face powder.

Madoo has just been international correspondent for CNN for a month. Announcing Madowo’s new position last month, CNN reported that the widely traveled journalist will serve as the new host of the esteemed African Voices Changemakers programme, which highlights exceptional people from across the continent. It debuted on TV on February 25, 2023.
