A car accident claimed the life of a journalist for NTV Uganda.
The car, which was being driven by Edward Muhumosa, was killed in a collision on Saturday morning near the Entebbe Highway, reports Al-Monitor daily.
The deceased was traveling from Kampala to the Entebbe side when he lost control of his car a few meters away from the UN’s Mbala gate, according to a witness.
“It swerved off the road and the car jumped over the ditch, flew into the sky and hit a huge sign before rolling off the ramp,” said an eyewitness.
Muhumosa was traveling to Nkumba University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and public relations, according to co-workers.
A close friend of the deceased reported that he had spent most of the night working on a study assignment and was now heading to the institution.
Mr. Muhumosa’s body has been transported to Mulago Funeral City for an autopsy.
