Kenya’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on Saturday alleged that former President Uhuru Kenyatta was a two-faced and failed opposition leader, Raila Odinga, during campaigning for the 2022 general election.

Modavadi said President Kenyatta was assuring the leaders that he would mobilize the people but then took no action.

Speaking in Oriri constituency in the county of Meguri, Mudavadi said that this was the main reason for his abandonment of the pre-election coalition and joining the Kenya Kwanzaa Alliance.

“That was our president’s head today, he was bilingual,” he said.

“I would attend his meetings where he would promise many different things to people. Then he would tap his legs and say, Leave it to me.”

“People didn’t mobilize anything for Raila in Mount Kenya. I thought we were going to watch and that’s why we brought the earthquake.”

He explained that prior to joining the Kenyan Kwanzaa Alliance, he was very close to Uhuru and even accompanied him to many meetings.

“I want to tell the truth. I used to sit with Uhuru in meetings and he would promise a lot of people and then later say leave it to me,” Mudvadi added.

He said his decision to join Roto saved him and gave him a new chapter.

“I have my own ride. Once I used to say Nasa Hua. Then I saw later instead of us being Nasa, we were Nasa Hua.”

The former leader of the ANC said he saw it sink and brought the earthquake that paved the way for opportunity and now Kenya has a president in William Ruto.

Madavadi urged Kenyans to unite and stand against the war of political segregation, adding that people should work together despite their political affiliations.

“We can’t reverse anything now,” he said.
